Saturday, August 19, 1995, started as a perfect day. The weather was warm and sunny. Lisa, Jordana and I spent part of the day at a beach. Later, we returned home and after my brother, David, arrived to babysit, we headed out to a Blue Jays game. Unfortunately, all's well did not end well. We never made it home that evening after being involved in a major auto accident that sent both Lisa and me to the hospital. The event changed the lives of so many people. My mother-in-law, Mary Small, decided to make a journal to keep track of what had happened and to allow visitors to mark their own comments when she and her husband, Rubin, were not at the hospital. The following is a relatively detailed exploration of what went on, from August 1995 to March 1996.
